I just finished a Geology 1102 (Historical Geology) a few days ago and I found it fascinating! I am considering switching my major from history to geology but nothing is final yet. I have seen you on Dinosaur Planet as well as on Dinosaur Train, which my 2 year old son loves. This is an excellent article and I believe Dinosaurs hold a plethora of answers regarding our future and our planet's future. My son will be 2 in a week and is already fascinated with them; he can even point to 15 different dinosaurs! I am happy to have found your blog as it truly inspring! Thank you!
-LaurenLaurenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03262163199774313399noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8794312182471569364.post-21187539949005910422009-12-07T08:28:43.446-08:002009-12-07T08:28:43.446-08:00Hi Tara,

The world, in their eyes, can be divided into discrete entities. The ability to understand evolutionary change arises in most children somewhere around 8-10 years.Scott D. In fact, my husband and I talked about topocentrism quite a bit afterward and took our 2-yr old to see some sagebrush and pronghorn outside the city this weekend.

Will we hear the "e" word on Dinosaur Train anytime soon?Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14670169278601867201noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8794312182471569364.post-20347936780677009032009-11-29T19:24:05.732-08:002009-11-29T19:24:05.732-08:00I am so happy to hear you'll be weaving togeth...I am so happy to hear you'll be weaving together all the technical biology, chemical, evo-devo and paleo books I've been trying to understand for the past 2 years without a background in any of them. This country, with its hide & seek game with some sciences, needs to see how they all come together to back each other up. They always paint them as monsters or aliens, but they got to understand that they are no different than animals alive today. I guess its the way that they are viewed on TV and in Movies.Stevenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15491327448637631285noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8794312182471569364.post-61228556229247444102009-11-29T06:30:40.856-08:002009-11-29T06:30:40.856-08:00I think we can't build a future ignoring the p...I think we can't build a future ignoring the past.Dinorider d'Andoandorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02289450500493424952noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8794312182471569364.post-6931566850586922452009-11-29T06:01:05.055-08:002009-11-29T06:01:05.055-08:00Bang on, mate. I've hot a cinematic telling of the Great Story that's been bouncing around in my head, being endlessly revised as I learn more details from various scientific and historical disciplines. I started weaving this mental movie when I was a kud, after reading Sagan's "Cosmos", and I expect to continue revising it until I'm old and infirm.

If anyone can spare 80 million dollars or so, I'd be glad to produce this movie.

...Unfortunately, it would likely be very challenging to secure an American distributor.

Yours,
CBBCheeseburger Brownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01384136287767500794noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8794312182471569364.post-70621282819990216712009-11-29T05:39:42.701-08:002009-11-29T05:39:42.701-08:00I do like this first 'proper' post to TWoL...I do like this first 'proper' post to TWoL. I think that there's no better way to look at the natural phaenomena than that paleontology offers to man.
Best wishes for your new blog!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11667666952393148559noreply@blogger.com
